Pupil Council

The Summerhill Academy Pupil Council is a prestigious and crucial team that aim to ensure the pupils’ voices are heard. Led by Mrs Mcleod, a group of 24 nominated pupils across all classes meet fortnightly to discuss various school matters, from school dinners to charity events, marking policies to even playground additions! In recent years, the Pupil Council has had a hugely positive impact on the school. These include supporting and promoting the installation of our school slide, increasing speed awareness and road safety on Plummers Hill and introducing new wall designs for our corridors and stairwells. We use the smart schools council model to ensure that all pupils voices are heard, and all pupils are able to lead change across the Academy
